Lapping
Slurries |
| |
Use Amplex slurries for high production lapping and
polishing. Efficient and economical, Amplex slurry is
ideal for polishing stainless steel, carbonized metal
bearings, ceramic valve seals, sapphire components, and
optical parts. It is recommended for materials
requiring rapid stock removal, high surface finish, extreme
flatness, and perpetuating lapping aggressiveness.
Amplex slurry is available in all diamond powder types and
in a wide variety of standard and custom engineered
vehicles.

Amplex
"WS" and "OS" |
| |
Our standard slurries are perfect for a variety of
industrial lapping applications requiring the performance
and cost efficiency of diamond abrasives. Amplex "WS"
and "OS" are medium viscosity, high purity formulas
consisting of EPA/OSHA approved components. They are
recommended for ceramics, metal carbides, ferrites, and many
other hard, high technology materials.
Both "WS" and "OS" slurry types exhibit a
wide range of solvency. "WS" is recommended when
diluting and cleaning is performed with water or other polar
solvents. "OS" is recommended for diluting or cleaning
with various oil and non-polar solvents. A pleasant
aroma characterizes both slurry types.

W600S and W602AS - Suspension Slurries |
| |
Amplex offers a line of water-soluble and
biodegradable suspension slurries. Amplex suspension
slurries are useful for a variety of metallurgic
applications where highly reflective surfaces are required.
These suspensions exhibit pseudo-plastic behavior, which
makes them ideal for lapping and polishing because their
viscosity decreases with increasing shear rate. W602AS
has the higher viscosity of the two slurries and can suspend
up to 60m diamond particles. Amplex suspensions
are available in non-aerosol spray pumps and trigger spray
bottles. They are excellent for working on metals,
stainless steels and ceramics. Most popular on pads as
well as a variety of plates such as copper, tin/lead and
cast iron.

W17S |
| |
Water-soluble, odorless emulsion slurry,
Amplex W17S is useful for a variety of polishing
applications where oil slurries are typically used to
achieve angstrom finishes. When cleaning becomes and
issue with oil-based slurries, yet you want the high glossy
finish that oil slurries provide, W17S may be the answer to
all your needs. W17S can be diluted with water and it
cleans easily with a little soap in water. Solvents
are no longer needed to clean parts. W17S is popular
on steel and cast iron plates for polishing substrates such
as Tungsten Carbide, Silicon Carbide, and Aluminum Oxide.

Amplex
0854S |
| |
Specially forrmulated, this low viscosity,
oil-soluble slurry is designed to handle harder laps such as
meehanite and ceramic. Minimum vehicle film thickness
promotes fast cutting on ceramics such as Tungsten Carbide,
Silicon Carbide, Aluminum Oxide, Zirconia, and Silicon
Nitride. Also the light viscosity and high purity of
0858S permits easy, thorough cleanup of finished parts.
